If you would like to make the most out of your upcoming trip to New York then I recommend getting a "New York Pass" which includes big savings on NYC sightseeing and tourist activities. What follows are a list of 20 things you can do while you're in New York City that are all a part of "The New York Pass." As an extra cool bonus this pass also allows you skip ahead in line which saves your time along with your money.
1. Natural History Museum.
2. Central Park Bicycle Rentals & Tours.
3. Queens Museum of Art.
4. The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
5. Clipper City Tall Ship Cruises.
6. The Empire State Building.
7. Madame Tussaud's wax museum.
8. New York Botanical Garden.
9. Noble Maritime Collection.
10. Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum.
11. Atlantic City Exursion on Academy Bus.
12. See famous sites in Manhattan from television and the movies with On Location Tours.
13. Radio City Music Hall Stage Door Tour.
14. Shearwater Sailing.
15. See the Noble Maritime Collection.
16. Staten Island Children's Museum.
17. The Broadway Theater District Walking Tour.
18. The New York City Police Museum.
19. Tour at Lincoln Center.
20. Uncle Sam's Edgar Allan Poe Greenwich Village Tour.
Regardless of which of these attractions you decide to see (keeping in mind this is not a complete list) or which New York City hotel you make reservations at make sure you eat at plenty of unique New York restaurants during your stay. Do not waste a single NYC meal eating at some awful chain restaurant like Applebee's you can eat at anywhere else in the US.
I lived in New York City for years and the biggest thing I miss about it is actually the amazing food. There are just so many tremendous restaurants in the city. Among the things I miss most are real Italian food, delicious Indian food (if you've never given it a try, you are really missing out), and wonderful French restaurants.
