The Secrets Of Tulum's Turtle Beach

Summer season is such a magical time of the year. I was lucky enough to vacation a few months inside the Cancun, Mexico vicinity this summer. It was in all honesty awe inspiring to be there. I spent nearly all of my time in a little jungle settlement referred to as Tulum. Tulum is situated inside the Riviera Maya roughly 90 miles south of Cancun and about 40 miles from Playa Del Carmen. It is a pretty easy cruise should you rent a car or van and take freeway 307 all the way. It's also possible to take a bus for a very affordable fee. A taxi ride would not even be excessively outrageous either, but by riding the bus or renting a van or car you'd definitely be saving funds. Without doubt, my most favorite thing about Tulum relates to the inhabitants.

There are countless real people in Tulum, especially the area's Mayans and Mexicans who live there. An added majestic trait is the beaches. Tulum has a number of the most amazing seashores within the planet. You most likely didn't know that at least one of the Corona commercials with the the guy and the girl sitting on the chairs on the beach was filmed here. Yes, it really is as attractive as it appears on TV and yes, you ought to fly down for a vacation!

The 1st beach I went to immediately moved towards the pinnacle of my finest beach experiences list. I had by no means experienced anything like it, it was so perfect and relaxing . My acquaintances who are long term residents around here label it Turtle beach, but the official name is Xcacel (esh-ca-sell). It can be merely a 10 minute ride north of Tulum on highway three hundred and seven. Not surprisingly they named it turtle beach for the reason that if you visit at nighttime in the early to mid summer season you can truly have the chance to see real live sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. However, you'll definitely need to stay a good distance away from the turtle while this is in progress, because the last thing you want to do is scare the turtle. Avoid the use of any flashlights or lights because this may cause the turtle to panic or unnecessarily abandon the egg laying process. The best time is really when the moon and stars are shining their brightest.

You may get to witness one of the most beautiful scenes you'll ever see in nature if the moment is right. My lucky stars aligned on one of my last evenings here and I was able to witness a sea turtle laying eggs. It was indescribable! All I can say is that this is something everyone should see at some point in their lives.

Going to Turtle Beach in the daylight hours is also quite an experience. The thing that really stood out to me was the small number of people there. It's almost like having you own private beach for the afternoon. I've never seen more than 50-100 people there and that is a busy day and still doesn't seem like much over the 3/4 mile stretch of beach. The small number of people makes this almost like your own slice of paradise. The waves are very small and so you can go into the 75-80 degree water and just relax with a beverage or play with the kids without having waves constantly smacking you.

By the time the typically large ocean waves meet up with the Coral Reef which extends miles from shore, the same waves are tiny or non-existent when they reach Turtle Beach. If you are a big fan of snorkeling or scuba diving you'll love this area. The Coral Reef pretty much makes it an ideal place for these activities. Professional diving tours are offered by hundreds of experts in the Tulum area alone. The next time I'm back in this area, I will definitely be scuba diving.

I truly hope that time comes soon. If you can't make it down to Tulum, Playa del Carmen or Cancun will also give you many options for great times. There are many Playa del Carmen hotels and other Yucatan hotels that can provide you with everything you're looking for. Tulum Mexico hotels will also give you luxury but the prices are usually more affordable and the service more personable. I personally recommend Tulum Mexico as a vacation destination for anyone. With wide-open spaces, beautiful jungles, amazing beaches, Mayan ruins, tasty restaurants and more, I'm confident you'll learn that Tulum is exactly the vacation you're looking for.
